Best shampoos for brass free blonde hair

I hate it when my bleached hair (which unfortunately has an Auburn undertone) turns brassy and I know I’m not the only one! According to the experts, bleached hair can develop a nasty rusty look over time due to hard water and an imbalance of tones. Having serious issues maintaining that bottle blonde hair salon style? Listen up and look no further. Here are three violet shampoos that battle the bronze for all budgets.

  1. Lee Stafford bleach blonde hair range- I’m a big fan of Lee Stafford products and that’s mainly because products are affordable and easy to get (quite often there are deals on all of his ranges in Boots like 3 for 2!) I picked myself up a bleach blondes shampoo, everyday blondes conditioner and a bleach blondes tone correcting spray which can be used in cases of brassy emergencies. I must say I was well impressed and after just one shampoo followed by a dollop of conditioner, my blonde tones came back to life. With the shampoo costing around €9.99 and conditioner at €9.99 it’s a no brainer purchase really.

  2. Kevin Murphy blonde range- Although I’ve never tried Kevin’s range, a friend of mine swears by his products and won’t use anything else. Available online from the Kevin Murphy store his blonde angel wash costs a cool €24 for 250ml bottle, while his blonde angel conditioner works out at €24 for a bottle of the same size. He also has a spray which has received rave reviews online called Shimmer me Blonde. A bit pricier at €24.00 for 100ml it’s stylish packaging and reputation could be worth that alone.BLONDE_ANGEL_3.PRO:VOKE Touch of Silver range– I used to be hooked on this stuff! The most affordable and easy to get (they even sell mini bottles in Dealz!) Touch of Silver does what it says on the tin with it’s volet pigment calming down the palest of blondes. Keeping it simple it comes in a shampoo and conditioner and admittedly it does work quite well though I did find I needed to go through two shampoos to achieve the desired result. Still it works and I would recommend it for the budget conscious! Prices start at just €2.99 for a 200ml shampoo. Bargain!
